Gallery Chuma is glad to present Gullah Memories, an exhibition of new
Acrylic on paper original paintings by famous artist Jonathan Green.
Jonathan Green
has spent the past two years creating exquisite landscapes in Acrylic on
paper, capturing his memories, reflections, and perspectives of the
Lowcountry of South Carolina. All of these paintings were created from his
sketches throughout South Carolina and painted in his studio on Daniel
Island near Charleston. This will be the first time his Acrylic on paper
paintings have been placed on exhibition for acquisition outside of his
studio.
If you have
been wanting to add a Jonathan Green original to your collection, these
Acrylic on paper paintings deserve your serious attention.
Since 1982
Jonathan Green has received numerous honors and awards for art, social,
civic, and cultural contributions. He has been awarded doctor of art degrees
from the University of South Carolina, Columbia, SC and the Coastal Carolina
University in Conway, SC for his capturing and recording of Southern culture
and history.
Some of the numerous awards he
has received include The Elizabeth O’Neill Verner Award for Life Time
Achievement, Columbia, SC - 2010; Key of Life Award --- NAACP
Image Awards, Los Angeles, CA - 2009; Century of Achievement in Art
