The Ladies featured in The Hats of Charleston poster are all members of The Hat Ladies.  Many of their beautiful hats are Grace Hats, purchased at Gallery Chuma.

Hats have experienced a resurgence in Charleston since The Hat Ladies was created in 2001.  Its members are all ages and love hats of all colors.  Furthermore, they are one of the most active groups in town, lending their time and talent to cultural, educational, civic, and medical causes; fashion combines with compassion.

To learn more about this stylish brigade of volunteers who are making a difference in their community and in their own lives, please log on to www.hatladies.org

Jonathan is fascinated by Jeanie's sweet grass hat.

It ireflects the Gullah culture, which is represetned in much of his art

Ok, Debbie. You win for the biggest hat ever.  Ours all fit thru the door
